Hey, moon

In 1969 , Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were taking 'one small step for man' and 'one giant leap for mankind'. They were landing on the moon, and stepping onto totally unclaimed territory. This was pivotal for the world's future as it proved we could literally do anything we put our mind to - thus leading innovative young designers into the 70's.

There has been some speculation as to whether the Apollo mission actually landed or not; many of the scenes look as if they've simply been projected or green-screened in. Personally I don't know, but whatever happened it's sparked off  new belief in the public.
