The End of an Era

By 1939, the dark clouds of war were rolling in over Europe and America from Germany. The second World War had broken out, and many 'non-essential' industries came to a standstilll; fashion included. The 30's was ending as it began - on a low note. It is generally seen as a bad time for society, given all the chaos, corruption and poverty.
