Uprising of the Youth

Teenage subculture had been going strong in the 50's - they were setting all the trends and leaving their elders behind; a generation gap was forming. Younger people were becoming more confident and independent in themselves, and were taking power of their own lives; getting jobs, developing their own style - the youth culture was about to explode, but not in a bad way - flower power!
