Rockers

Conflicting with the idyllic nature of the Mods, the Rockers had a rawer, rougher edge to them. The majority had motorcycles, and their protective leather clothing gave a harsh look to their fashions.

The most common hairstyle for male rockers was the 'pompadour', a look heavily influenced by the rock and roll craze happening at the time. Whilst the Mods were focused on fashion, music and art, the Rockers had a far more rebellious edge to their leisure activities.

The two conflicting groups ended up in a war of sorts - many would conceal hidden weapons such as bike chains or razor blades in the fingertips. The Mods and Rockers rioted, provoking the older generations to become worried for the future of the youth and society

I love how edgy the Rockers looked and the Mods too, but I feel their behaviour did go too far.
